Paperback (Independently published, Oct. 23, 2019)
The growing interest in the higher life, and the general search for information that is helpful in attaining it, is sufficient reason for the publication of this little book. The purpose has not been to write of the subject in hand either exhaustively or systematically but to put forward helpful suggestions for taking some easy steps in self-development. After a full life in business, in the 20th Century, Mr. Rogers turned his attention to mysticism and theosophy. In 1903 hejoined the Theosophical Society in America, and began lecturing extensively and publishing numerous books and pamphlets on reincarnation, life after death, karma, and others. As one of the most prominent American exponents of esoteric mysticism, Rogers would be elected Vice President of the TSA in 1918, serving in that capacity until 1920, when he would ascend to the Presidency of that organization where he served for over a decade. He then served as the editor of two of the organization's periodicals — Ancient Wisdom, which he edited from 1935 to 1936, and The Voice, from 1951 to 1952.

    Betty Lou Rogers

Paperback (Skookum Books, Aug. 1, 2017)
This writing takes you back to the 1930’s leading up to World War II. A country girl, growing up in a small Ohio village, remembers what life was like and the kind of living that produced so many brave souls to save our world from hate, greed, bigotry, and inconceivable evil! The attitude of the population was so very unselfish, and patriotism was evident from the tiny kitchen of a widow saving and donating her bacon grease, to the brave young men giving up their own lives to crush the evil that was set out to dominate the world! When our country unites to preserve goodness and justice there is no end to the possibilities of our successes. The attempts of the Nazis and Japanese to rule people into submission, through self-doubt, torture, threats, and hatred of civil rights, was a world-wide abomination which had to be stopped. We did it. We saved many American lives by dropping the bombs!
